When the Brakes Fail on a Wind Turbine

  3. Does anyone have a clue how a brake on a wind turbine works?

    Is there a certain speed when the brakes can't stop the turbine anymore?

  4. The brake usually consists of turning the blades out of the wind. I don't know what other systems they use.
