World War II The Lost Color Archives
In relation to pimp's post I went looking and found this really nice WWII color video documentary. There's not much footage of battle and explosion, but it does show a lot that went on outside of the fighting. The narration is good and the diary and letter excerpts are also well chosen.
The scenes are authentic. The color is real.
