All this works through the tendency of people to rate sets of statements as highly accurate for them personally even though the statements could apply to many people, the so called Forer effect.

The end, and especially the commentary are good, I like it when they say their belief in astrology has been shattered. This experiment should be done in every high school. For the rest the clip is a little bloated by showmanship and program filler.
And of course The Amazing Randi did it years ago (in 1:35min) :)
