Great video! They should change the infected caterpillar with a healthy one after the larvae come out and see if it does the same; to check whether it really controls the brain or that it only is a natural caterpillar reaction. They didn't try this from what I understand from the article. And even then it could be a natural reaction that only works when larvae "smell" like their own body.
So it might be a pheromone trick. Maybe, I would hope they did indeed test this. Maybe you should send the writers of the paper an email. Or maybe look up and read the paper first :)
