the 7 new world wonders

here is a site where you can vote for a new world wonder.
there are some real beauty's architect wonders on the site but some are real shitty as well.
to bad for it little bit nationalism in me that there isn't one dutch challenger for the new world wonders.

Some nice dutch world wonders:

the delta werken: Imagine everybody called it a wonder that jezus walked over water and turned water in to wine. Than the delta werken are defiantly a world wonder.

The kubus woningen(van blom):
Hihihi we live in a square.

That site is kinda silly. It has quite a limited selection of buildings.
If it's going to include modern buildings like the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House and the Statue of Liberty. Why not mega projects like the Panama Canal, CERN, ISS or the Delta Projects you mentioned?

btw, those cube buildings are really fugly and I guess they are pretty impractical too.

I agree with cybrbeast that this is kinda silly. The Statue of Liberty isn't close to a world wonder.

Does it have to be architecture?

never seen a cube building from the inside :( so i don't know how impractival they are.

i think the idea is nice but the world wonders they chose are shitty.
They should make it free to add a world wonder you self.
think its not only architecture because "the easter island statues"
are not architecture. but its indeed a shame they didn't pick some big projects. now its more like a tourist top 20 then a world wonder list.

Statue of liberty is indeed not world wonder worthy in my opinion.
Eifel tower, and state of liberty are from the same architect, thats a bit to mutch i think, they better could picked some calatrava or something else in my opinion.

Anyway this is my list:
Great Wall, Acropolis
,Angkor,Kiyomizu Temple, Pyramids of Giza, Taj Mahal
,Timbuktu

Then I want them to add the ISS, Space Shuttle, CERN, the Microprocessor, etc...

Do you have to pay to vote?
