Hungry Birds
Timelapse of birds in our garden. Shot with my Galaxy S3 and Lapse It Pro. Speed 20X. Watch full screen and HD. Too bad the great spotted woodpecker I saw this morning didn't show up. Also the huge wood pigeons are missing.

Pretty Timelapses
The talk is a bit too new-agey for me, but the timelapses are very nice. I also posted this because I think it's bizarre that TEDxTalks can be in full HD whereas TED global talks are still in stupid 480p.

World Cloud Time-lapse (30 days)
I tried to find a world cloud time-lapse. Could not find a one of the whole world and longer than a day (anyone?). The BBC weather site shows the current world cloud map. I hacked the BBC ;) and found hourly infrared images of the last 30 days. Made you a time-lapse. Sorry dekus, another cloud time-lapse.
Now I want high resolution images and a full year.

Slime Mold Time Lapse
"They begin life as amoeba-like cells. These unicellular amoebae are commonly haploid and multiply if they encounter their favorite food, bacteria. These amoebae can mate if they encounter the correct mating type and form zygotes which then grow into plasmodia. These contain many nuclei without cell membranes between them, which can grow to be meters in size. One variety is often seen as a slimy yellow network in and on rotting logs. The amoebae and the plasmodia engulf microorganisms. The plasmodium grows into an interconnected network of protoplasmic strands.[7]
The streaming protoplasm within a plasmodial strand can reach speeds of up to 1.35 mm per second which is the fastest rate recorded for any micro-organism.[8] Migration of the plasmodium is accomplished when more protoplasm streams to advancing areas and protoplasm is withdrawn from rear areas. When the food supply wanes, the plasmodium will migrate to the surface of its substrate and transform into rigid fruiting bodies. The fruiting bodies or sporangia are what we commonly see, they superficially look like fungi or molds but are not related to the true fungi. These sporangia will then release spores which hatch into amoebae to begin the life cycle again."

How the BBC makes those awesome timelapses
This is from the BBC Life Series: "Plants" which you can watch here.
In a studio! I always wondered about this. Actually I think that's kind of cheating. But I guess that it's impossible to do under natural conditions.

Wrecking Ball
Today wrecking balls have mostly been replaced by other methods. Too bad I've never seen one in action. Seems like a fun job.
Here is a time-lapse of a building being destroyed by wrecking ball over a period of 8 weeks. Didn't think it would take that long though.
More wrecking ball goodness.

Time Lapse of Station Fire, Los Angeles County
Related to the last post. Too bad about the fire, but at least it yielded some pretty pictures.

Hippeastrum Timelapse
I made another timelapse, too bad I couldn't finish it nicely because I needed my camera for a different timelapse. 34 hours capturing, 1 image per minute, 25fps playback. High-res under title.

Cloud Timelapse part 2
Yes, another bloody cloud time lapse I made! Cybrbeast, I will use your music suggestions next time, they didn't really fit with these clouds imo so I used some corny Bach sounds. Please click title for full resolution.

Awesome Time Slice Commercial
An awesome commercial making use of the time slice or frozen moment effect. It's a commercial for the silly Philips 21:9 LCD TV. Okay, you don't have black bars in widescreen movies with that TV, but you do have black bars on the side with any video that is less than 21:9 ratio.
