I guess Europe has the busiest airspace cause it's more concentrated.

There are 60,000 commercial flights a day in the world.

1.3million air travellers in the US alone every day(can't easily find the worldwide number)

The Federal Aviation Administration predicts the number of air travellers to double to more than 1 billion a year in the USA within 10 years. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7222569/)

I sure hope that's going to happen...

They don't land in Antwerp! That stream of planes flies to Frankfurt and Stuttgart!

Schiphol is nr 9 in the world for passenger traffic with 44 million passengers. It's 5th in Europe. Antwerp isn't even in the top 30.

O'Hare Chicago and Atlanta are nr1 and nr2.
